Montana Folk Festival
The Montana Folk Festival features performances and demonstrations by over 200 of the nation’s finest musicians, dancers, and craftspeople. It showcases multiple performances by more than 20 Artists/groups on six stages including a dance pavilion dedicated to participatory dancing, a family stage with performances appealing to children of all ages, and a Montana folklife stage. In addition to the performance stages, there are several themed festival areas: the Montana Folklife Area, the Family Area, two Festival Marketplaces and the Festival Food Courts.
An Ri RA
Experience the An Ri Ra Montana Irish Festival in Butte, Montana, your gateway to authentic Irish culture in the heart of the Rockies! Held every August at the historic Original Mine Yard, this free, family-friendly festival celebrates Irish heritage with traditional music, dance, and cultural workshops. Enjoy live performances by acclaimed artists from Ireland and the U.S., explore local food and craft vendors, and attend engaging sessions in the Irish author series. Set in Uptown Butte’s iconic mining backdrop, An Ri Ra offers a unique blend of Montana history and Celtic tradition brought to us by The Montana Gaelic Cultural Society (MGCS) who has been active since 1997, sponsoring classes in the Irish language and Irish dance, and promoting and sponsoring music and drama presentations.


SnöFlinga
Celebrate winter at Snöflinga, Montana’s premier winter festival! Held annually in Butte, Montana, Snöflinga is a free, community-driven festival celebrating the best of cold-weather fun. Enjoy exciting outdoor activities like cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, curling, ice skating, and so much more! Thrill-seekers can try fat tire biking in the snow or take the daring Polar Plunge. With live music, local food, and family-friendly fun, Snöflinga is the perfect way to experience Montana’s longest season.
Freedom festival
Brought to you by Town Pump, celebrate Independence Day in Butte, Montana, at the annual Freedom Festival. Festivities begin July 3rd with a dazzling fireworks display over the iconic “Big M” on Montana Tech’s campus. The excitement continues on July 4th, where you can enjoy a patriotic parade down Harrison Avenue at 10am, then enjoy live music, local food vendors, and family-friendly entertainment throughout historic Uptown Butte. Known for its rich mining history, Butte offers a one-of-a-kind backdrop for Montana’s most exciting Independence Day celebration.
