Built in 1896 as the First Presbyterian church, and serving Butte as a performing arts venue since the 1940’s, the Covellite Theatre offers free movies every Wednesday night, free Comedy every Thursday, monthly Youth Open Mic, and headliner live music shows every weekend of the year. The Covellite Theatre and Uptown Lounge is also home to Butte’s annual Covellite International Film Festival on the 2nd weekend every April, May the Fourth Be With You Star Wars Day Festival, and Rocky Horror Picture Show in the fall.
